As things stand, Sheffield Wednesday has eighteen players departing the team this summer. The team also has some important decisions to make this summer.
With new contract negotiations on hold and all seven of the Owls’ loanees scheduled to return to their parent clubs, the bulk of the team is expected to depart the club. Although it is reasonable to assume that on Wednesday, efforts will be made to extend at least some of the deals in question—Barry Bannan, for example, is one player Danny Röhl has hinted will remain, and the team is known to be interested in holding onto Di’Shon Bernard and Josh Windass—the winds of change appear certain to blow through S6 once more.
We’ve collated a list of every Wednesday player believed to be coming to the end of their deals in the coming months – though their could be more in that the contract lengths of the likes of Juan Delgado and Reece James are unknown.
