Fans of Sheffield Wednesday, who truly shined last season, will be happy for Bernard.
But the fact that he’s spending a month abroad raises serious concerns about his contract position.
It’s unknown if Bernard has already decided what to do with his career, but a lot of teams will be watching him this summer and knowing that he might be available for a free transfer.
Hopefully, Danny Rohl has had a lot of pleasant chats with the 23-year-old already, but after he returns in July, things might become much more difficult.
