BREAKING: Utah QB departs the club

With only a few months until his senior season begins, quarterback prospect Shaker Reisig has decommitted from the University of Utah.

Reisig, who played high school basketball at Union High in Tulsa, Oklahoma, committed to Utah in February and made his formal visit to Salt Lake City a little over a week ago, apparently learning something he didn’t like.

According to 247 Sports’ “Crystal Ball,” Reisig is likely to switch to Boston College. The three-star quarterback is regarded as a top-50 quarterback in his class, although he is nearly universally thought to be surpassed by Wyatt Becker, another three-star 2025 passer who remains committed to Utah.

Utah should be alright at quarterback in this class with Becker still in the mix, but quarterback depth is always desired, especially with Cameron Rising leaving the program after this season. Becker will now have an advantage while the search for Rising’s successor proceeds, though Utah may seek additional competition along the road.
