It’s the new ACC. ACC coaches expressed optimism about the conference in 2024; four teams are expected to finish with 10 wins, and another seven will be eligible for bowl games.
The ACC will appear different in a lot of ways the following season. The conference acquired three new programmes in Cal, Stanford, and SMU a year after launching a division-less system, increasing the overall number of member schools to 17. The most difficult non-conference matchups on the ACC’s revamped schedule have already been examined.
Florida State faces Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl in the latest 247Sports College Football Playoff projections, and there’s room for more ACC teams to join the Seminoles in their hunt for a national championship next season.

Virginia finished with the second-worst record in the conference record last season and could be in line for another stinker in 2024. Richmond and Coastal Carolina are the easiest games on the Cavaliers’ schedule, but both are losable. Then there’s a brutal five-game stretch that features Louisville, Clemson, UNC and Notre Dame.
With one of the most difficult schedules in the ACC for the upcoming season, newcomer Stanford, who finished 3-9 in the Pac-12 last year, is predicted to post a similar record. An intense run of four games consists of Clemson, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, and SMU. After playing Wake Forest, the Cardinal has a break before facing NC State and Louisville in two more difficult games.
