BREAKING: New England Patriots has completed the signing of ‘top defensive lineman’.
New England Patriots sign defender OG Liam Fornadel.
Players are now free to join with NFL teams following the UFL Championship on Sunday, which officially ended the inaugural season. Liam Fornadel, the DC Defenders’ outstanding offensive lineman over the last two seasons, has signed with the New England Patriots.

Prior to signing with New England, Fornadel was believed to have worked out with Cleveland and Green Bay. Nonetheless, Fornadel winds up in New England.
Fornadel has been the Defenders’ starting right guard for the past two seasons, garnering All-XFL accolades and the second-highest PFF grade of any offensive lineman this season.
Fornadel does give positional flexibility, having filled in for the Defenders’ offensive line due to injury. He also played left and right tackle in college at JMU, where he started 41 games.
There’s little doubt that losing Fornadel is a significant loss for the Defenders roster. Fornadel has been a leader for that unit for the past two seasons, and he was highly relied on during the in-season transition of offensive line coaches with Russ Ehrenfeld leaving and Sean Kugler arriving. Patriots supporters should be delighted about this surprise signing.
