GOOD NEWS: The Auburn Tigers have officially signed him….

Keeping track of who has committed to Auburn officially
As Auburn formally announces its 2024 class, names are being added.

Pen hits paper on Wednesday for National Signing Day as Auburn and teams across the country officially ink their 2024 class. Auburn Undercover has you covered with a full Signing Day HQ and live updates which can be found HERE.

As NLI’s are officially released by Auburn, we’re also keeping tabs on who all has joined the class here. A look at who Auburn is getting and how the recruitment got to today for Hugh Freeze and his future Auburn Tigers:

Last autumn, Joseph Phillips was first discovered and given an offer by Cadillac Williams and the interim staff, who were already in Auburn and going through bowl practices. When they took over, Hugh Freeze, Josh Aldridge, and Ron Roberts carried on that, heavily recruiting him as an adaptable linebacker who can play as a jack linebacker or on the inside. As a football player, Phillips is young; he played basketball first and then switched to football later in his high school career. Georgia had secured a silent pledge early in the summer, and Tennessee was getting quite active, but Freeze and his team were able to keep Georgia close to home before making a public commitment.

When Demarcus Riddick transferred from Georgia to Auburn a few days before Big Cat Weekend, he significantly contributed to maintaining the summer momentum. Riddick is another player who has already arrived on campus and is undergoing bowl practice. Early in the process, the in-state Top247 prospect committed to Georgia, but in the end, the choice between Auburn and Alabama was the most important one. Once more, Freeze and Aldridge won the competition for his services. Riddick is a tremendous athlete who plays both offence and safety for his Chilton County (Ala.) team. The Auburn defence is looking for him to play as a rangy outside linebacker.
