South Carolina secured a commitment Monday night from former Clemson baseball player Nathan Hall.
The sophomore outfielder, who entered the transfer portal earlier this month, announced his decision to join the Gamecocks on social media.
Hall had limited playing time this past season, appearing in 12 games and recording five hits in 22 at-bats. In the previous season, the Lexington, S.C. native played in 39 games, including 16 starts, and was the team’s leader in games played off the bench (23). He posted a .243 batting average with 10 runs, three doubles, a home run, and 12 RBIs. His stats also included a .324 slugging percentage, a .321 on-base percentage, eight walks, one hit-by-pitch, and three steals.
Prior to attending Clemson, Hall enjoyed great reputation. He was ranked No. 11 overall and No. 3 among outfielders in South Carolina by Perfect Game, as well as No. 100 among outfielders in the US. He earned three baseball letters and was named the AAAAA state player of the year during his junior year at Lexington High School.

After losing a pitcher to the transfer portal, Erik Bakich and the Clemson baseball team are losing another member of the team.
Infielder Cooper Blauser, who made his mark as a redshirt freshman by participating in a dozen games, has decided to explore new opportunities and has entered the transfer portal.
During the 2024 season, Blauser posted a batting average of .241. Over his 29 at-bats, Blauser showcased his potential, with one of his hits being a home run and another a double. His final game of the season was on April 20 against Pitt, marking the end of his contributions for this year. Blauser’s decision to transfer indicates a desire for a fresh start and potentially more playing time at a new school.
