The New York Yankees were defeated 12-2 by the New York Mets on Wednesday night, but Yankees sensation Aaron Judge continued to smash baseball records.
Judge went 2-for-2 and hit his 30th home run in the loss, which is significant for a variety of reasons.

Yes, Canseco, McGwire, Bonds, and Sosa used steroids, but this is a list of some of baseball’s best home run hitters. Ruth, Bonds, and Pujols all have over 700 career home runs, while Griffey has more than 600.

That is correct, as difficult as it is to believe. Ruth and Mantle never hit 60 home runs in a season, while Roger Maris only did so once.
If Judge continues to produce at this level, he will be in contention for his second American League MVP Award. He got the award in 2022.
The Yankees are now 52-30 this season, leading the American League East by 1.0 game over the Baltimore Orioles.
