Breaking: A star football player for the Clemson Tigers enters the transfer portal after a season

DJ Uiagalelei, quarterback for Clemson, will use the transfer portal.

DJ Uiagalelei will use the transfer portal after serving as the quarterback for the Clemson Tigers for two years, as reported by Chris Hummer of 247 Sports.

It is unknown when Uiagalelei will access the portal, but he will be eligible to attend his next school for up to three years.

Uiagalelei was a unanimous five-star recruit and the top quarterback prospect in the 2020 class. It was anticipated that he would follow in the footsteps of Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, and Tajh Boyd as the next great quarterback at Clemson.

In both of Uiagalelei’s opening seasons, No. 10 Clemson was unable to advance to the College Football Playoff, ending a six-year run of participation in the national semifinal.
