After just one full season in the position, Brandon Streeter, the offensive coordinator at Clemson, was let go. Larry Williams of Tiger Illustrated broke the story first, and within the last 30 minutes, every major website verified it.
Only in 2021, right before the Cheez-It Bowl, did Streeter assume responsibility for offensive coordination despite having been at Clemson for 15 years. During his tenure as the QB coach from 2014 to 2020, he seen an abundance of talent pass through the programme. The Tigers, who finished at 48th in total offence in 2022, struggled to maintain consistency in their offensive numbers throughout the season despite having Streeter leading the offence.
Dabo is allowing for change, which is a significant first step towards resolving some of the objectionable problems that the show is currently experiencing. Jeff Scott, the co-offensive coordinator at Clemson prior to serving as head coach of USF for three seasons, appears to be a viable contender. According to some reports, the replacement hire is a well-known and well regarded applicant, and there won’t be an internal promotion.
