GREAT NEWS: South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer shares some good news on Twitter for the Gamecocks.
The summer is a critical time for college football programs to build momentum on the recruiting trail and continue it into the season. The South Carolina Gamecocks have been working on this, and according to head coach Shane Beamer, good news is on the way for the program.
Beamer is notorious for giving fans tiny tidbits in his tweets and social media posts, and that is exactly what he did on July 4th. The head football coach stated he received a phone call that resulted in someone joining South Carolina’s recruiting class. Obviously, the athlete’s name was not revealed in the message, but fans have already begun to guess on who the mystery player is in Beamer’s tweet.

South Carolina currently has 16 commits in their 2025 recruiting class. Ten of those pledges came in June, and the class is in terrific shape roughly halfway through the early national signing period. That also means there is still a long way to go before many of those players make commitments, but maintaining recruiting momentum into July is fantastic news for any college program.
Beamer needs a good season at South Carolina this year, but any encouraging news he can bring off the recruiting path never hurts his chances.
