BREAKING: Player draft for CPL 2024 has been confirmed

The six teams in the 2024 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have announced the completion of the player draft.

Kyle Mayers was the first choice for the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. He will be joined by Mikyle Louis, Ryan John, and Veerasammy Permaul.

The Saint Lucia Kings welcome USA international Aaron Jones, who is eligible to play in the CPL because he possesses a Barbados passport. Khari Campbell, Johann Jeremiah, Mikkel Govia, and Akeem Auguste were also added to the Kings’ roster.

The Barbados Royals have chosen Kadeem Alleyne, Isai Thorne, and Nathan Sealy to complete their team.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors have selected all-rounders Raymon Reifer and Ronaldo Alimohamed, while Matthew Nandu has returned to the Warriors after being taken in the draft.

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons selected five players, including Roshon Primus, Justin Greaves, Jahmar Hamilton, Teddy Bishop, and Kofi James, for the newest CPL club.

The Trinbago Knight Riders chose Nathan Edward and Shaquere Parris.

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons face the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on August 29 at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium, kicking off the 2024 season.

The tournament will also include matches in St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana.
