BREAKING: Cam Waters makes “awesome” revelation

The Supercars star has finally completed his classic Ford.

Cameron Waters may be known for racing Ford Mustangs, but he’ll be cruising the streets in this old Ford Falcon XB Coupe.

The Tickford Racing star’s project car was unveiled this weekend at the MotorEx car show in Melbourne, following a lengthy and meticulous development process. Waters collaborated with bespoke automobile specialists Rides by Kam to create this stunning Australian muscle car, and he acknowledged he was “ecstatic” with the end result.

The blue oval ace was involved in every aspect of the car’s design and construction, including selecting the Porsche paint color and a suitable and strong engine.

Waters collaborated with engine builder Jon Grove to employ an ex-Supercar V8 engine, complete with race-used heads and an FPR/Tickford Racing top end, but with a capacity increase to 6.0 liters (369ci). This improves driveability and performance, as Grove claims the engine produces 555kW (745hp) and 813Nm (600ft-lb). It’s mated with a six-speed Tremec Magnum manual transmission because Waters says he wants to drive the car rather than just cruise around.

The outside is done in Amethyst Metallic, which was originally a Porsche shade but looks fantastic on the large Ford. The front wheels are 19 inches and the rear wheels are 20 inches, both finished in bronze.

The interior has seats from a FG Falcon ute and is almost fully covered in Alcantara for a sportier appearance and feel than leather. While the design is antique, Waters has incorporated some technology, such as a Haltech 10-inch digital dashboard.

Unfortunately, Waters was unable to reveal his new wheels at MotorEx because he is now in the United States competing in his second NASCAR Truck Series race at Kansas Motor Speedway.
