GREAT NEWS: Cleveland Browns has completed the signing of 49ers’ star
According to an NFL analyst, the Cleveland Browns are a finalist in the deal for 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk.
The Cleveland Browns do not “need” to make a deal for a top wide receiver. However, acquiring an excellent wideout would help the offense go to the next level.
Jerry Jeudy and Amari Cooper are already on the roster. Behind them, the Browns have promising players in Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman. It is now being rumored that they could complete a major blockbuster trade for a wide receiver.
According to Cam Marino, an NFL analyst for NFL Draft Buzz who previously worked for USA Today, Cleveland is one of the top two teams vying for San Francisco 49ers standout wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

Aiyuk has been rumored to be a potential trade candidate all offseason long.
At this moment, there have been no favorable reports regarding the 49ers and Aiyuk’s contract extension talks. Aiyuk wants to be compensated, and it doesn’t sound like San Francisco is going to meet his demands.
During the 2023 NFL season with the 49ers, Aiyuk demonstrated his capacity to be a true No. 1 wide receiver. He caught 75 receptions totaling 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. These stats would look excellent on the Browns’ offense.
Amari Cooper isn’t getting any younger, so committing long-term to him could be a mistake. Jeudy is a good player, but he has not been able to demonstrate that he can live up to the hype that landed him the No. 15 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Bringing in a player like Aiyuk would elevate the Cleveland offense to the next level. He would also be the Browns’ long-term No. 1 wideout behind Deshaun Watson or whoever is at quarterback.
It will be interesting to watch what happens to Aiyuk. San Francisco could still try to hold him for the long term, but with all of the recent reports, a trade appears more plausible.
While Marino is not an NFL insider like Ian Rapoport or Adam Schefter, this is an intriguing report. Perhaps the Browns are seriously considering acquiring Aiyuk.
