BREAKING: Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski returned from retirement and……

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski returned from retirement and shocked the crowd with their jerseys

Currently, the most popular NFL tandem is unquestionably Patrick Mahomes and his tight end, Travis Kelce. This Kansas City Chiefs duo has won three Super Bowls, controlled their division for six straight years, and advanced to the AFC Championship game six times. Before them, the most renowned and successful tandem was the all-time great Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Tom and Rob won four Super Bowls out of six total, five with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Comming back from retirement

Tom and Gronk’s connection goes beyond the field. A prime illustration of this was Gronk’s attendance at “The Roast of Tom Brady,” where he, like all the other guests, took every opportunity to mock Brady. Their most recent appearance was yesterday at the Fanatics Fest, the first-ever immersive sports festival. The couple astonished everyone by showing up disguised as each other, as if they had returned from retirement and were strolling around the event amid the crowd like super fans, complete with Patriots helmets. Watch the video and try if you can spot them even in their respective outfits.

The finest comments were “Can we just appreciate they didn’t do it in Buccaneers uniforms,” emphasizing their more significant success with the Patriots, and “Stop putting that man in a uniform! “He is going to come back,” referring to Brady’s career, which lasted until he was 45, implying that if he returns to the NFL, he might still outperform half of the current starting quarterbacks.

Brady and Gronk vs. Mahomes and Kelce

Gronk and Brady had a combined 620 catches, 9,275 yards, and 93 touchdowns in 141 games over the course of 11 seasons. This works out to four receptions, 65 yards, and 0.65 touchdowns each game. Meanwhile, in 93 games over six seasons, Mahomes and Kelce have 589 catches, 7,303 yards, and 53 touchdowns, with an average of six catches, 78 yards, and 0.56 touchdowns. While Kelce and Mahomes have more catches and yards than Gronk and Brady, I believe there is no better combo at this level–both are exceptional in their own distinct ways.
Brady and Gronkowski were so close that after winning their third Super Bowl together in 2018, Rob announced his retirement, only to be lured back by Tom a year later to play with him again, this time in Tampa, where they won their fourth Super Bowl together. This year, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have the opportunity to rival Brady and Gronkowski with a fourth Super Bowl triumph, as well as becoming the first team in history to win three straight.
