Notable offensive players have been ruled out for the Browns matchup with the Raiders.
The Cleveland Browns ruled out four offensive players on Friday, before the team goes to Las Vegas for Week 4.
For the third week in a row, the Cleveland Browns will be without one of their key offensive weapons.
On Friday, head coach Kevin Stefanski quickly ruled out standout tight end David Njoku, who had an ankle issue from Week 1 of the season. Njoku made headway toward a possible comeback this week, practicing in a restricted capacity on Thursday. One day later, he was ruled out for Cleveland’s Week 4 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Along with Njoku, Stefanski has ruled out starting tackles Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills. It’s a step back for both guys from where they were a week ago.
Conklin practiced extensively throughout the week leading up to Week 3 and appeared to be on track to play against the New York Giants despite his questionable classification. Unfortunately, the eight-year veteran suffered a hamstring injury late in the week and was ruled out one day before start.
Wills, meanwhile, was limited for all three days of practice last week and given a questionable rating. He did make his 2024 debut against the Giants, but he left in the third quarter with a knee injury. Wills and Conklin had spent the offseason recovering from various season-ending knee injuries.
Stefanski also ruled out backup running back Pierre Strong Jr. before the trip west. Strong Jr. has been nursing a hamstring injury sustained in Week 2.
