JUST IN: Caitlin Clark reveals her offseason intentions following Indiana Fever’s WNBA playoff tragedy.
Caitlin Clark has confessed that she expects to play a lot of golf during the WNBA summer.
The rookie superstar and her Indiana Fever colleagues were eliminated from the playoffs on Wednesday night after being swept by the Connecticut Sun.
Clark scored 25 points and dished out nine assists in Indiana’s 87-71 loss in Game 2, a far cry from her postseason debut, when she scored 11 points on 4 of 17 attempts.
However, defeat brought an end to the Iowa Hawkeyes star’s incredible first season, during which she redefined women’s basketball, established numerous records, and packed out venues around the country.
Aside from the Olympics break this summer, Clark has had little time to herself since graduating from college and being drafted by the Fever. She’s disclosed what she intends to do when she’s not playing basketball.
‘I was concentrated on beating the Connecticut Sun; I didn’t think too far ahead,’ the 22-year-old stated.
‘I’m not sure what I’m going to do tomorrow or the next day.’
‘Perhaps play some golf. That’s what I’ll do till it gets too cold in Indiana. I’ll become a professional golfer.
Clark argued with a spectator and pushed away a rival player as tempers erupted in Wednesday night’s WNBA rookie season finale.
Tempers rose in Connecticut as Clark traded barbs with a Sun fan sitting courtside before alerting security, who soon intervened to speak with the person.
She also had a heated exchange earlier in the game when Sun forward DeWanna Bonner was not penalized for a landing-zone foul when stepping into her path after a 3-pointer.
As the couple reunited following the no-call, Clark was seen shoving Bonner away violently before they exchanged words in a heated exchange.
Clark appeared at the Fever’s pivotal playoff game wearing $1,700 in Prada accessories.
As she entered Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena, the 22-year-old showed off her new Prada purchases ahead of her most important night in professional basketball so far.
Clark, who was crowned WNBA Rookie of the Year at the weekend following her remarkable debut campaign for the Fever, was spotted wearing black sunglasses from the luxury Italian label, which cost roughly $500.
With Lexie Hull by her side, she entered the arena wearing $1,200 black leather slingback pumps.
