BREAKING: Miami Hurricanes lands a top In-State 2026 QB
The number of uncommitted 2026 quarterbacks is already diminishing.
Several in-state quarterbacks for 2026 are already off the board. Will the Miami Hurricanes sign one of Florida’s best signal-callers, or will they have to leave the state to find their future quarterback?
Inside Florida, the 2026 quarterback class is likely the strongest in almost a decade. It would be a missed opportunity if the Canes did not sign one of the nation’s top quarterback recruits.
Using Rivals rankings, here are the top Florida 2026 quarterbacks and their recruiting status.
Dia Bell, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.); American Heritage (39) – Texas
Brady Hart, Cocoa (Fla.) High School (42) – Michigan
Noah Grubbs, Lake Mary (Fla.) High School (44) — Notre Dame
Will Griffin, Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit (149), Florida.
Dereon Coleman, Orlando (Fla.) Jones (158): Undecided.
Michael Clayton II, Sanford (Florida) Seminole (212) – Undecided
Carter Emanuel, Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater (Unranked): Undecided.
While Bell, Hart, Grubbs, Griffin, and Coleman get much of the attention, Clayton and Emanuel, among others, are proven players who will play Power 4 football as well. Florida is having a genuinely spectacular year.
Coleman dominated at Miami’s recent seven-on-seven camp and is now a top option for the Canes. Clayton is also a rising recruit who has visited colleges such as Auburn, Missouri, and Illinois. Miami would do well to sign one of these young lads.
It may be absurd that UM needs to locate its 2026 QB recruit before the 2024 season begins. However, quarterbacks are coming off the board.
Miami can still recruit a top in-state passer. Expect this scenario to escalate sooner rather than later.
