Ajax signs Matheus on loan from SC Braga

Ajax has reached an agreement with SC Braga and Matheus Lima Magalhães. The 32-year-old goalkeeper, known as ‘Matheus’, has been signed on loan from the Portuguese club with immediate effect. The loan deal runs for half a season, until June 30, 2025. The agreement includes an option for Ajax to buy him permanently. Matheus is currently under contract with SC Braga until mid-2027.
Matheus was born on March 29, 1992, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. In 2014, he transferred from the Brazilian side América FC to SC Braga, where he has been playing in Portugal’s top division for more than a decade.
