Steelers great makes huge prediction for the club’s RB

The Pittsburgh Steelers will enter the season with two running backs in the final year of their contracts. Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren are not expected to sign contracts before the season begins, but one former player believes one will stay until 2024.

Former Steelers linebacker Terence Garvin indicated on the Arthur Moats Experience that Warren would build a case for himself this season and, by the end of the year, will be the Steelers’ long-term running back.

“He’ll turn up a little more than he has,” Garvin said. “I believe he is successful due to his business acumen and running back skills…” I believe the business aspect will help him achieve the success you seek, to the point where you can say, “We have the running back we need, and we’ll get another one to follow him.”

Warren indicated at minicamp that he has not had contract talks with the Steelers yet, but he is not concerned about signing another deal. Instead, he wants to focus on playing in the Super Bowl.

“No, and to be honest, I’m not particularly concerned about it. When asked if discussions have begun, Warren replied, “I’m worried about winning a Super Bowl.”

Warren rushed for 784 yards and four touchdowns last season, while also catching 61 receptions for 370 yards.

The organization has declined Harris’ fifth-year option, thus he does not appear to be returning following the season. Warren could be considering a few options, including getting tendered by the Steelers. If not, and Garvin is correct, he will be looking at a multi-year deal at the age of 26 and entering his fourth season in the NFL.
