RUUD GULLIT DROPS CELTIC BOMBSHELL! YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT HE JUST SAID ABOUT FRANK RIJKAARD’S SHOCK MANAGEMENT RETURN

Ruud Gullit has refused to completely dismiss the possibility of a return to management while revealing that former Netherlands teammate Frank Rijkaard would turn down Celtic if the club ever approached him.

Rijkaard has been away from management since departing Saudi Arabia in 2013 after a distinguished coaching career that included spells with Barcelona and Galatasaray.

The Dutchman claimed two La Liga titles and the Champions League during his five years at the Nou Camp, but Gullit insists there is no chance of his former AC Milan teammate being lured back into management – even by Celtic.

Speaking to ComeOn, Gullit said: “Frank Rijkaard is retired. He doesn’t want to go back into football management. He doesn’t want to do it. Not even if Celtic came and spoke to him. He has had enough of it.”

Celtic have been linked with several prominent managerial candidates whenever the Parkhead job has become available, but Gullit believes Rijkaard has definitively shut the door on a return to the dugout.

The former Chelsea and Newcastle United manager was less certain when discussing his own future.

Gullit has likewise been out of management for several years and now works mainly in television, although the 1987 Ballon d’Or winner admitted an exceptional opportunity could potentially persuade him to return to football management.

Gullit said: “As for me, I enjoy what I do now. Working in television is nice. Of course, if the right offer came in, and it is an offer you cannot refuse, you would have to react to it, but I don’t know.

“I see the game as a manager. I’ve done it before. I know how to do it. But I don’t know how I would react to a job offer today.
