LEEDS UNITED BLOW! Daniel Farke’s Contract SACKING Decision Made After SENSATIONAL ‘New Opportunity’ Leaves Elland Road IN SHOCK

Leeds United are expected to step up plans to offer Daniel Farke a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.

As things stand, the 49-year-old is due to leave his position at the end of the season, but Leeds are eager to reward him for the excellent work he has done in the Premier League.

Questions had been raised about the manager’s future throughout the summer, but suggestions of a new deal were dismissed, with the club’s attention focused on other priorities.

However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Leeds view the upcoming international break as the perfect chance to sit down with Farke.

The manager is highly regarded at Elland Road, and the hierarchy have been impressed by what they have seen, especially since the middle of last season.

As a result, all parties are keen for Farke to prolong his stay, and there is now a growing belief that it is a question of when rather than if he will be offered a new contract.

Will Leeds offer Daniel Farke a new contract?

Football Insider revealed on 4 September that Farke could be in line for a new contract at Leeds, with plans now being arranged following the conclusion of the transfer window.

Leeds’ attention had been firmly on improving their squad ahead of what they hope will be another successful campaign in the Premier League after a promising beginning.

However, the board can now shift their focus towards their manager, who is receiving widespread praise for the job he has done and could now be set to extend his tenure.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Daniel Farke has insisted he has just been thinking of the team and any potential new signings as well.

“But now we’ve got this upcoming international break in September, and that will give Leeds the opportunity to sit down and discuss Daniel Farke’s future at the club.

“They’re in no rush at the moment, the main focus for Farke right now is to continue their fine start to the season.

“Leeds are four game in, unbeaten, and they had a good transfer window as well where they brought in players who have improved their squad, so things are going well.

“I’m sure Leeds will be looking to sit down in the near future and reward Farke for what he has done at Elland Road.”

Is Farke happy to commit his future to Leeds?

Questions over Farke’s long-term future at Elland Road and whether he could be handed a new contract emerged after he voiced his frustrations.

In the final stages of last season, he called on the board to support his ambitious plans, and even suggested he may not be the right man if they were unable to do so.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown warned Football Insider that Farke could leave his role at Elland Road if he does not receive sufficient backing from the board.

However, following a busy transfer window and an impressive start to the season, any concerns that those frustrations may have remained for Farke have now been brushed aside.

Leeds completed seven signings before the 1 September deadline and bolstered the squad across several important positions, providing clear evidence of their backing for the manager.
