Leeds United have enjoyed a strong opening to the season and currently sit fifth in the Premier League, having earned nine points from their first five league matches.
The Whites remain unbeaten in the Premier League and once again look like a side that will be difficult to break down in the top flight this season.
At the back, they have appeared composed, with Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi bringing added strength to the defence, while James Trafford has looked every bit the goalkeeper Leeds believed they were signing.
Although Leeds were involved in the relegation battle for much of last season, they are not being mentioned among the teams expected to struggle at the bottom of the table this time around.
Gabriel Agbonlahor brings Leeds into relegation discussion
On talkSPORT this morning, Jamie O’Hara and Gabriel Agbonlahor discussed the possibility of Tottenham being relegated this season following their disastrous start to the Premier League campaign.
The pair highlighted just how competitive the Premier League has been this season and how several teams have produced unexpected results.
O’Hara admitted that he genuinely feels Spurs could be relegated this season after coming close to the drop in each of the previous two campaigns.
Agbonlahor agreed and stressed that there are more strong sides in the Premier League, while pointing to Leeds as a team that has impressed early in the campaign.
O’Hara said: “I reckon we can genuinely go down.”
Agbonlahor added: “Yes, 100 per cent, as every game is tough.
Leeds are a good team, you understand?
Leeds must maintain momentum after the international break
The 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace was frustrating for Leeds, as they were expected to claim maximum points against an Eagles side struggling for form.
Nevertheless, that should not diminish the impressive beginning Leeds have made this season or how assured they have looked during the opening weeks of the campaign.
Leeds’ next task is to maintain their momentum after the break, and they will need to be at their best with a difficult run of fixtures coming up.
If Leeds can maintain this standard of performance against Arsenal, Manchester United and Sunderland, their supporters will have every reason to feel increasingly optimistic about the season ahead.
