BREAKING: LEEDS PREPARE STUNNING TRANSFER RAID! WHITES READY TO SMASH RELEASE CLAUSE IN BOMBSHELL MOVE FOR RED-HOT GOAL MACHINE – RIVALS LEFT SHAKING AS FARKE CLOSES IN ON MAJOR STATEMENT SIGNING!

Leeds United have reportedly been credited with an interest in signing Sevilla winger Miguel Sierra.

Daniel Farke has already strengthened his Leeds squad with two new wingers this season in the form of Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Harry Wilson.

However, the former is only at the club on loan, with the Whites having the option to make his move permanent from Eintracht Frankfurt, while he is still adapting to English football.

Meanwhile, Wilson has not delivered the immediate impact many Leeds supporters expected, recording zero goal contributions in six league appearances.

If Leeds are serious about challenging for European qualification during the second half of the campaign, another quality addition out wide could be necessary in January.

According to a fresh update from Spain, that addition could potentially arrive in the shape of Sevilla prospect Sierra.

How much is Leeds-linked Miguel Sierra’s release clause at Sevilla?

According to a report published by prominent Sevilla news outlet Orgullo Biri on Thursday, Leeds are keeping a close eye on Sierra’s development.

The report claims that several European clubs have begun monitoring the 22-year-old, although the Whites are potentially the side closest to turning their interest into something more concrete.

It is also disclosed that Sierra has a €20million euros (£16.6m) release clause in his contract with the La Liga club, with Leeds “seriously considering” triggering it.

The report explains that Sevilla previously believed they were relatively protected against potential transfer interest, but that situation has changed following the youngster’s impressive rise in performances and growing market value.

Sierra remains under contract with the seven-time Europa League winners until June 2029, although that may not be sufficient to keep interested clubs away.

Nevertheless, there is one significant obstacle that could potentially prevent a January move to Leeds or any other interested club.

What injury is Sierra currently dealing with at Sevilla?

Sierra made the step up from Sevilla’s B team to the senior side last year, although he managed just five competitive appearances for the first team.

However, he has already featured eight times this season, finding the net twice, including once in a La Liga loss against Atletico Madrid.

It is clear that the winger has made considerable progress in his development over the past few months and is emerging as an exciting prospect for the future.

However, as outlined in the aforementioned report, Sierra is currently undergoing rehabilitation after having surgery on his right shoulder in mid-October.

He is not expected to be available again for several months, which could make Leeds reconsider pursuing a January transfer.

Clubs generally look to recruit players during the winter window who can arrive and make an immediate difference to their teams.

A fully fit Sierra could potentially have offered Farke that kind of impact, but his current injury setback could mean he needs an extended period to regain his fitness and reach the required level.
