FOOTBALL BOMBSHELL! LONDON STADIUM CEO QUITS AS WEST HAM HIT BY SHOCK SENIOR DIRECTOR EXIT IN DOUBLE DEPARTURE DRAMA

Major Changes at the London Stadium

London Stadium CEO Graham Gilmore resigned this week, according to Claret and Hugh. Gilmore succeeded Linda Lennon in 2017 as the stadium’s chief executive, a position he has occupied for the past nine years.

Gilmore started his career in West End theatres before building his stadium experience through senior positions at Leicester City and Fulham FC. He joined London Stadium as Chief Operating Officer in April 2015 before being promoted to CEO in 2017.

Gilmore is reportedly retiring, with London Stadium operations director Darren Raczkowski set to step into the role as interim CEO.

West Ham Senior Director Also Leaves

The development follows the departure of another senior West Ham director, Philippa Cartwright, who is listed on the club’s website as Projects & Operations Director. She also serves as a director of West Ham Women.

Cartwright previously worked as project director for the London Stadium and legacy at Newham Council until 2018, when she joined West Ham, with her responsibilities mainly focused on London Stadium relations and projects.

She remains a director of West Ham Women for the time being, alongside Ticketing Director Nicola Keys, who is scheduled to retire at the end of this season.

These departures present an opportunity for a fresh beginning at the London Stadium, with both sides set to welcome new faces.
