Rangers manager Derek McInnes intervened to avert a potential confrontation during Celtic vs Rangers after he pulled Djeidi Gassama away from the supporters.
The incident happened when winger Gassama stumbled and fell onto the advertising boards in front of the home crowd after challenging Colby Donovan for the ball.
Gassama was shoved by some members of the Celtic Park crowd and turned around to confront the supporters.
McInnes quickly stepped in to lead him away from the fans and back onto the pitch.
The incident was captured in Rangers’ Away Days coverage of the match on YouTube.
Rangers secured a 1-0 victory in the fixture, their second encounter with Celtic within the space of a week.
Ryan Naderi was the match-winner, scoring after reacting fastest when Minsu Kim’s volley was parried by goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo.
Rangers had earlier defeated Celtic 3-0 in the first meeting in the Premier Sports Cup at Ibrox.
