LEEDS UNITED SHOCK: Daniel Farke’s Replacement Is ALREADY Emerging — And Fans Won’t Believe Who’s in the Frame

Daniel Farke’s Leeds United contract remains one of the most debated topics around Elland Road in recent weeks. The Whites have reportedly held discussions, but no agreement has been reached.

There had been speculation that the club could make an announcement during the international break, but that now appears unlikely.

Farke is believed to be content in his position at the club, while the hierarchy are prepared to keep him for the long term. At the end of last season, the German suggested that his future would depend on the ambition shown by the ownership.

He pointed to Leeds’ second Premier League season under Bielsa, when the club failed to provide the Argentine with enough support and he eventually departed during the campaign.

However, this summer, the club have done a good job of strengthening Farke’s squad in the transfer market.

Leeds have brought in several key players for the spine of the side, including James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic.

Leeds United could already have Farke’s successor

When Bielsa left Leeds United, there was a widespread feeling that someone truly special would be required to fill his shoes and keep the club on track.

After several unsuccessful attempts to replace the Argentine, Leeds eventually suffered relegation.

Farke arrived three years ago and has done an incredible job ever since. Many have labelled the German as a coach who is not ‘Premier League level’, but he has embraced the opportunity and demonstrated his ability.

His eventual successor could already be making his way through the coaching ranks, with Pablo Hernandez previously hinting that managing Leeds could be a possibility in the future. Back in 2021, while he was still a player, he spoke about returning to Elland Road as a coach.

“The clubs that are so important to me would be a dream [to manage].”

Now that I’ve come home, I continue to receive that affection and I get hundreds of messages after every game from Leeds fans who follow Castellón.

“For me, it is a source of pride and I am very grateful because I have felt very loved there.

“There were five years [at Leeds] where I felt very loved, very important.”

How good is Pablo Hernandez?

The former Leeds player moved into coaching immediately after retiring from football.

He initially took charge of Castellon’s B team, where he guided them to a league title. Last season, Hernandez helped the Castellon first team steer clear of relegation.

The 41-year-old initially took over as caretaker manager before securing the position on a permanent basis.

This season, Castellon remain unbeaten and are sitting at the top of La Liga 2. Marca have highlighted the coach, noting that his approach has been strongly influenced by former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.

His work has attracted attention from several La Liga sides, but Hernandez has described Leeds as his ‘home away from home’ and admitted that he dreams of managing in the Premier League.

Leeds supporters should certainly keep an eye on his progress, as he could potentially find himself in the Elland Road dugout in the not-too-distant future.
